The FHA’s May 19 Day in the Park was a success thanks to the talents and energy of dozens of volunteers, sponsors, vendors, local officials and contest competitors.
Denise Kendall and her chihuahua Cookie won the pet costume contest. The tiny horses provided by Ken Coren (Baby, Zeek, and Zoey) served as grand marshals of the pet parade, and were recognized for best character trait. Thanks to judges Assemblymember Damon Connolly, Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters, and sisters Antanasia and Jaliyah Cook.
Marina Hufford, dressed as a mermaid, posed tirelessly for photos throughout the day.
Katy Lynn and Jay McNeil from Issaquah Dock were the winners of the hotly-contested shopping cart race.
