TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE FHA BOARD IS DOING, HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE JANUARY BOARD MEETING:

  • FHA Board meetings are now being held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month, due to a scheduling change at the Marin City Community Room.
  • The FHA and American Red Cross will co-sponsor another free smoke alarm installation on March 17.
  • Supervisor Kate Sears has been asked to speak at the February 24 Annual Membership Meeting.
  • Since there will be no Open Homes Tour this year, the Board agreed to the following cost-saving measures:
    • Annual dues will be raised to $35 for one year and $100 for 3 years, effective February 1.
    • After the current 2018 Tide Calendars and Logs are sold out, the FHA will no longer buy them for resale to residents.
    • At the February 24 Annual Meeting, entertainment will be recorded, rather than live, music.
    • The FHA will not sponsor a table at Jazz & Blues by the Bay this year. Groups of six can rent tables for a specific performance.
  • Treasurer Joan Sheahan will present a proposed 2018 budget at the February 13 Board Meeting.
  • To offset the loss of tour income, the Board will attempt to schedule more private tours. The goal is eight to ten private tours for the year.FHA
  • FHA Membership notices will be sent out prior to the Annual Membership Meeting.
