Happy Trails to Mary Ann Griller

On April 21, The Edgewater Room at Sausalito City Hall was filled with friends congratulating Mary Ann Griller on her imminent move to Austin, Texas.

Mary Ann has been a longtime supporter of the FHA, Sausalito Village, Marine Mammal Center, Sausalito Historical Society and Fireside senior center. She was also the first president of the Edgewater Senior Club and has been replaced by three co-presidents who were among the crowd of well-wishers. One of them, Tricia Smith, has noted, “Mary Ann has been the heart and spirit of the Edgewater Senior Club — feisty, a little bossy (in the best way!), and always fun. Because of her dedication, the club not only survived — it thrived, growing in membership and keeping the community connected and vibrant.”

The Edgewater Seniors Club provides opportunities for seniors to gather at special events, share experiences, and create friendships. Members meet for a variety of trips, social gatherings, presentations, and friendly conversation.

Soon Mary Ann will begin her next chapter — relocating to Austin to be closer to family. However, she’ll continue to own her Tiki Barge adjacent to Liberty Dock, so she’ll maintain ties to the community she’s loved and supported since the turn of the century.
