Jim Woessner of Issaquah Dock sends along this tribute to his long-time neighbor Rachelle Dorris:

One of the pillars of the waterfront community, Rachelle Dorris, passed away last Saturday, November 29th. Rachelle was a 40-year resident of the waterfront, the majority of those years living on Issaquah Dock. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and experienced her infectious smile. To sit at her table was always a culinary adventure. As a real estate agent, she was unmatched in her commitment to her clients. Her parties on the “Margarita Deck” are legendary and branded into the memories of everyone who ever attended. She was not only at the core of activities on the waterfront but was also active for years at the Center for Domestic Peace. Dock alerts will never be the same without her laughter and the ever-present pitcher of margaritas. She will be missed.
