Three brief but timely news items cropped up recently, and here they are for all to share:

More Carts

FHA President Michael Labate has received 21 discarded shopping carts from Mollie Stone’s.  Most were in good shape, and he has scavenged wheels off several and started labeling the good ones for the different docks. So far he’s delivered one large and one small cart each to West Kappas, East Kappas, A Dock and Gate 6 ½. If you need replacement carts for your dock, contact Michael directly.

Vax to the Max

Anyone who missed their second vaccine can obtain a second dose shot at any of Marin County Public Health’s mass vaccine sites, regardless of where they obtained their first dose.  No appointment is required, just bring your vaccination card:

  • Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Marin Center (20 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael)
  • Wednesday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m: Marin Health and Wellness Center (3240 Kerner Blvd, San Rafael)

In addition, many commercial pharmacies provide second doses, even if you obtained your first dose from a different provider. Review available vaccine sites in Marin by visiting GetVaccinatedMarin.org.
