New Dinner Delivery Service

Imagine this delivered to your door | photo from Port & Provisions | post by Larry Clinton

Davey “Jones” Johnson of Davey Jones Deli and his Van Damme Dock neighbor Maria Finn have just started a dinner delivery plan for Sausalito, Marin City and Mill Valley called Port & Provisions. They’re preparing one dinner for Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, with vegan/vegetarian options. The meals will be sourced from Marin Farmers Markets and local fishermen and farmers as much as possible. You can pay online ($18 for one, $32 for two people) and leave a cooler outside for delivery, so there will be minimal contact. They also have a “No Neighbor Left Behind” policy for people who are isolated/quarantined but can’t afford to pay and will deliver them food for no charge. Here are some sample menus:

Wednesday March 18th
Polenta with braised beef, mixed mushrooms and Toscana kale and parmesan cheese
(Vegan option- mushrooms, kale and kabocha squash over polenta, no cheese)
Add-on: roasted beets, pepitas and mixed greens in avocado-tahini dressing (on side)
Add-on: green goddess soup made with wild nettles and farmer’s market greens
Add-on: apple spice cake, gluten free chocolate chip cookies

Friday March 20th
Herb crusted albacore tuna loin from Fort Bragg & farro, asparagus, pistachio and arugula salad with ricotta cheese and preserved lemon dressing
Add-On: salad of blood orange, fennel, cucumber & walnuts
Add-On: carrot ginger soup
Add-On: sticky meyer lemon cake (gluten free cookie option)

To receive weekly menus, subscribe on their website , where you can also donate to this effort.
