Main Dock Resident Runs for School Board

Rebecca Lytle at the head of Main Dock | post by Brad Hathaway and Larry Clinton

Rebecca Lytle, PhD, a long-time resident of Marin County now living on Main Dock, has announced plans to run this November for a seat on the Sausalito Marin City School District Board.

Board members work with the school superintendent and guide decisions to ensure accountability as advocates for children, the school district, and public schools.

You can read about Rebecca’s background and her plans for our local schools on her new website.

Meanwhile, Brad Hathaway of East Pier passes along these reminders about the importance of properly registering to vote:

The November election will not only have President and Vice President, Senator and Congressman contests but State Assembly, local offices and both statewide and local measures. Vote-By-Mail ballots will be mailed starting October 7 to all registered voters. The ballots can be returned by mail, taken to a drop box, delivered to a vote center or taken to an actual polling center; the vote centers and polling centers will be available for in-person voting for four days, November 2 to election day November 5.

If you haven’t yet registered, you can do so online with just a few clicks. If you have registered, you might want to check the official records to make sure all is in readiness. You can do that at the same website—just click on Check Your Registration Status.
