In-Person Coastal Cleanups are Back

On the third Saturday of September, volunteers all over the world will converge on beaches, shorelines and inland waterways to pick up trash and remove dangerous debris. Considered the largest marine–related volunteer event in the world, Coastal Cleanup Day is a wonderful opportunity to lend a hand and make a significant difference.

9 a.m. – Noon

It’s easy to participate; just check out an interactive map to find a cleanup site near you. Help reduce waste on Coastal Cleanup Day by bringing a bucket or reusable bag as well as reusable gloves with you for the cleanup. For more information, check out the US Army Corps of Engineers site!

Some sites will require a waiver form which you can fill out in advance and bring with you. Some inspirational data from the past:
