FHA Day in the Park: Music, Pet Parade & Life Afloat

The second annual FHA Day in the Park is Sun Oct. 20 from 10 am to 2 pm | photo and story by Jen Gennari

You’re invited: The second annual FHA Day in the Park is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20! The free and family-friendly party will feature live music by talented residents, including Nother Mother Brothers. The Bubble Man returns, and Davey Jones will be making soup! Bring your own bowl, spoon, and a beverage to share.

Pet Parade: Bring your furry pal (on a leash) in a Halloween costume to the park. Judge Julie Durbin and her team will award prizes for the cutest costume at 1 p.m.

Life Afloat: Learn more about living on the water, from tying knots to preparing for winter storms. See what’s in the FHA emergency trailer! You can also help restore the Charles Van Damme smokestack and paddle wheel.

E-waste: This year the Conservation Corps North Bay will be onsite to safely collect our e-waste during the Day in the Park. They’ll take your old computers, laptops, phones, TVs and more. Learn more about recycling on the FHA website.

Fire Extinguishers: Once a year, it’s important to get your fire extinguishers checked and recharged. Gabe Woods of FireMaster will be there from 10 am to 1 p.m.

Get connected! Come meet new neighbors and reconnect with longtime friends in our waterfront community. You can also hear about the FHA’s work and join or renew your membership.

Break out your picnic blankets and beach chairs, and we will see you for a day in the WPH park!
