TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE FHA BOARD IS DOING, HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE February BOARD MEETING:
President Michael Labate and VP Taylor Ray introduced a new approach to meetings: pressing issues will be discussed first, with less urgent business and committee reports to follow. When speaking, be clear—Information, Discussion, Decision.
Dock Reps Initiatives. Dock reps were asked to think about what they really care about happening this year, and to bring those ideas to the next meeting. Talk to your dock reps.
Discussion of the proposed 2019 budget is continued until next month, so individual board members can get specific budget recommendations to treasurer Teddie Hathaway.
The 2019 Annual Meeting takes place March 2 at the Bay Model. This year’s theme: Get Involved. Registration starts at 5 p.m. with the meeting itself underway by 5:30.
High school students have volunteered to handle the party set-up/take down. Volunteers for other jobs are needed. Interested? Contact Katherine Boschetto.
Service Gifts are introduced, to augment the usual raffle prizes. Willing to donate a ride to Manzanita Airporter or a few hours of your time/expertise? Click here: A New Twist.
Spring CERT training dates (Community Emergency Response Team) for Mill Valley are April 4, 6 & 13. The FHA will cover the $50 fee, upon completion. All Marin training for current CERTS is May 4. Visit Ready Marin for all locations and dates.
Peter Hudson (Main Dock) presented a thorough analysis of our shopping carts—including cart migration patterns, and suggestions moving forward—to be discussed at the next meeting.
The next Annual Tour Committee meeting will be held March 11, 7 p.m. at 65 Liberty Dock. WPH park will replace the Kappas Green as the staging area. 2019 tour date: Saturday Sept 14.
