The 29th Annual Marin Open Studios begins on the weekend of April 30-May 1, continuing on the following weekend. Dozens of local artists will invite visitors into their studios as in the past. But there will also be group exhibitions at public venues, including the ICB Building, Falkirk Mansion and the new Sausalito Center for the Arts.
Two floating home neighbors will be showing their work: Elaine West and Teddie Hathaway.
Elaine, who splits time between the Stone Soup on Liberty Dock and a woodsy hilltop home in Inverness, will display her paintings both weekends at Falkirk Cultural Center, 1408 Mission Avenue at E Street in San Rafael. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, April 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Teddie Hathaway will display her glass sculptures at the new Sausalito Center for the Arts, 750 Bridgeway in downtown Sausalito, on both weekends.
Both venues will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each weekend. Come on down!
