Tides of 6.5’ or more are predicted for February 7-9, with the highest tides on Friday and Saturday mornings.
To determine the exact times of these high tides, check the interactive tide chart on the right side of this page; by clicking on the Day + button, you can advance to these dates and see when these tides will reach their peak. Although no rain is forecast for this period, winds created by low-pressure fronts can increase the height of these king tides so avoid driving, parking or walking in areas subject to flooding.
Environmental Chair Jen Gennari and her team of citizen scientists will be measuring how close Bay waters come to the pipes, wires and cables that run under most of our docks. Check back to see her report.
