Tour Progressing Ahead of Schedule

Ten residents of South 40, Liberty and Main docks have offered to open their homes for our Sept. 24 tour. The Tour Committee is now looking for one or two backup boats on Liberty or Main. If you’d like to help, please contact Michele Affronte: maffronte99@gmail.com.

To date, over 100 tickets have been sold, and our first publicity will go out later in May. We are confident that we’ll pre-sell 500 tickets as planned, plus 100 walk-ins. If you know people who might want to attend the Tour, please advise them to PURCHASE TICKETS HERE, where they can make advance reservations using a credit card or PayPal.

The Tour is featured ON FACEBOOK. Please check it out, “Like” us, and invite your friends.

A 600-person tour should be much more manageable for the Committee, as well as for the community. Parking and registration for pre-sold tickets will be based at the Gateway Center, and we plan to be extra vigilant about tour attendees parking in our residential lots.

Kappas Green will again be the scene of an art show, live music, and information tables for local non-profits. If you’d like to participate, or to recommend a favorite non-profit, contact Teddie Hathaway: teddie@teddiehathaway.com.

We still have a few openings on the Tour Committee, and as always, we need lots of enthusiastic volunteers on tour day. If you’d like to help with the planning for the tour, please come to the next Tour Committee meeting: 6:45 PM Monday, May 9 at 30 E Pier.

To sign up for tour day CLICK HERE. The sooner you sign up, the better your chances of getting the time slot and job you want. Remember, volunteers: work 3 hours or less, get a free t-shirt, take the tour for free, and enjoy a volunteer party immediately after the tour.

In addition to being the major fundraiser for the FHA, tour proceeds will benefit local non-profits: Friends of the Marin City Library, Sausalito Village, and The Marin Mammal Center.

Hope you’ll join us for a great time!
