The IOO+-year-old ferry boat Charles Van Damme is an historic part our local waterfront. Learn about the ship’s many lives from the first car ferry, restaurant, sixties music venue to a local public exhibit on Friday February 2I at the Sausalito Library. Judyth Greenburgh and Michael Rex tell the Charles Van Damme Ferry story from past to future in a series of 9 lives in a multimedia show. Judyth co-founded a project to restore and preserve artifacts from the old paddle wheeler, and well-known local architect Michael Rex is chairman of the Richardson Bay Maritime Association, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of Sausalito’s working waterfront and its maritime heritage and tradition. Together, they are working to preserve the paddle wheel and other artifacts from the Van Damme and display them in the new park at Waldo Point Harbor.

The presentation will be given from 7:00—8.30 p.m. on the 21st.
