Susan Huxtable of East Pier passes along a website for Marin Medical Equipment Recyclers, a volunteer non-profit based in San Rafael that offers free used medical equipment.
If you can’t find what you need in the FHA’s Disaster Response Trailer, or if your need is permanent, you can visit their location at 3100 Kerner Blvd. on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pick up or delivery is not available. When you receive an item you will be asked to fill out and sign a liability release.
They also accept donations of clean, useable medical equipment and supplies in good condition. Full lists of what is and isn’t accepted are posted on the group’s website.
