A few floating home neighbors are volunteering up in Petaluma at the pre-build for an exhibit to open at the Oakland Museum in October. It is Temple by David Best and Crew, which will be at the Museum’s exhibition entitled “No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man.” We’ve been working on mosaic floors of which there will be 32 four foot by eight foot panels, composed of thousands of different shaped pieces. We’re enjoying the camaraderie of our fellow volunteers, and the creativity and meditation of placing and gluing. The exhibit opens October 12, 2019 and will be up through February 16, 2020. (Organized by the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum).
