Friends and neighbors gathered at the triangle on Liberty Friday night, July 29, to honor Nancy Frisch, who is moving away after 40 years. Nancy has decided to relocate to Washington State to be near her son Noah, who was born on the dock. Noah’s dad, photographer Steve Frisch, passed away several years ago.
Fiona Clements presented Nancy with an oven mitt hand-painted with scenes from the dock. Drinks and treats were shared, and toasts were raised, by several well-wishers.
Among the crowd were David and Elaine West, who have lived aboard the Stone Soup for over two decades. They will also be leaving soon for Inverness, where David is the incoming commodore of the Inverness Yacht Club. They’ve leased an Inverness home for a year, so we hope to see them back on the dock in due time.
