TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE FHA BOARD IS DOING, HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE JUNE, 2017 BOARD MEETING:

  • Katherine Boschetto has met with Linda Meyer (East Pier) who agreed to look at our website and give us some ideas for freshening it up. Jennifer Gennari has offered to edit and update website text, as well.
  • The FHA will participate in the Coastal Cleanup on Saturday September 16 from 9:00 a.m. till noon, ending with a BBQ at the Bay Model. Environmental Committee Co-Chair Jen Gennari will send out a notice about that event and also a notice about an e-Waste Collection event on Saturday October 14.
  • The first press release for the September 30 tour has been emailed to the media. We need some marketing help to sell more tickets than we did last year.
  • Larry Clinton and Jenny Stein sent an email blast to all FHA members about the Floating Times. They will send future monthly email blasts to the entire community, with links to recent articles.
  • Emergency Preparedness Chair Flo Hoylman needs to hear from three docks about their interest in emergency backpacks: Main, Liberty and Yellow Ferry.
  • The FHA is partnering with the Red Cross to get free smoke alarms installed for residents who want them. Help is needed with the August 19 installations.
  • The FHA agreed to purchase 40 shopping carts, in a variety of sizes, for use on various docks. Damaged carts will be removed and perhaps refurbished for credit to us.
