TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE FHA BOARD IS DOING, HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE JANUARY BOARD MEETING:

Jenny Stein is planning to step away from the Floating Times. Larry Clinton needs help with reporting, proofreading, photography and coordination of classified ads. More details will be published here soon.

Treasurer Joan Sheahan will present a proposed budget for 2018 at the March 12 Board Meeting, which is an Open Forum meeting.

Volunteers are needed for the free smoke alarm installation on March 17. Contact coordinator Ali Johnston if you’d like to help.

West Pier Dock Rep Court Mast reported that the RBRA Meeting of Thursday March 8th at 5:30PM at Tiburon City Hall will be open to public comments on the anchor out community. Look for more details before the meeting.

Environmental Committee member Jen Gennari is working on a Car Sharing program for the floating homes community.

Jen also encouraged dock reps to try to measure how high their docks sit above water at the next king tides (7.0’ at midnight on July 12). Since most docks don’t float, unlike our homes, they could be inundated due to sea level rise.

More volunteers are needed for Saturday’s FHA Annual Meeting and Party. Contact Louise Simpson if you can help.
