Seems like we just turned the page to January and here it is February. Time for the Floating Homes Association’s annual meeting. We continue our tradition by holding the meeting at the Bay Model, Saturday evening, February 27.
All members of the community are invited to attend.
Registration begins at 5 p.m. — the meeting convenes at 5:30 p.m.
Our state and county representatives: County Supervisor Kate Sears, Matt Zweier [representing State Assembly Member Marc Levine] and State Senator Mike McGuire will provide a synopsis of legislation and projects they’re working on.
Grier Mathews of Zero Waste Marin will briefly inform us of the ways of composting, and provide totes or produce bags for each household. In addition, the FHA will provide free BioBags for kitchen waste containers, along with a handout of useful composting information.
Next will be the state of the FHA and the projects we’re working on. We’ll close with the Member of the Year award and the ever-popular drawing for door prizes.
A delicious buffet awaits us after the meeting. Easy listening music will be enjoyed as you catch up with your neighbors and friends. Two members from each residence and children under 14 years enjoy complementary admittance. Guests of FHA members pay $10 each.
Memberships to the FHA will be accepted during registration: $25 per year or $65 for a three year membership.
Looking forward to seeing you there ~ Katherine Boschetto, FHA President
