On Sunday evening, September 10, a scrawny coyote got up on the end of Gate 6 ½ Dock and was spotted by Natalie Towle. The young, injured animal limped down the dock to the opening between berths #12 and #10, then scooted down their shared ramp them and jumped back in the bay, swimming toward a nearby sandbar, then jumped to the grassy area near the parking lot and vanished into the bushes.
Intrepid newswoman Claudia Cowan, alerted by neighbor Natalie, captured this unusual sighting on video.
