To keep everyone up to date on what the FHA Board has been doing, here’s a bullet list of the important and interesting things that happened at the August 15, 2016 Board Meetings:
Larry Clinton distributed a flier about the blog to go up on dock bulletin boards.
Larry will retire as editor of the Floating Times at the end of the year. He will propose alternatives to the newsletter format at the October 17 Board Meeting.
The Charles Van Damme project has been approved by the County and Waldo Point Harbor. The BCDC will take it up next. There was a discussion of the FHA supporting this project, after doing due diligence on the project’s feasibility.
Ron Moreland reported that the Kappas Homeowners Association is now a defunct nonprofit corporation, with $7,000.00 in the bank. Ron is the only signer on the account. Larry Clinton will call a meeting of Kappas residents about how to handle this.
The Conservation Corps North Bay has offered to partner with the FHA to host our own E-waste Collection Day on October 22.
The Environmental Committee will look into preparing a list of locations for recycling various items. Editor’s note: this info exists on theFHA website’s environmental page.
