Board Meeting Notes – August 15, 2016

To keep everyone up to date on what the FHA Board has been doing, here’s a bullet list of the important and interesting things that happened at the August 15, 2016 Board Meetings:

  • Larry Clinton distributed a flier about the blog to go up on dock bulletin boards.
  • Larry will retire as editor of the Floating Times at the end of the year. He will propose alternatives to the newsletter format at the October 17 Board Meeting.
  • The Charles Van Damme project has been approved by the County and Waldo Point Harbor. The BCDC will take it up next. There was a discussion of the FHA supporting this project, after doing due diligence on the project’s feasibility.
  • Ron Moreland reported that the Kappas Homeowners Association is now a defunct nonprofit corporation, with $7,000.00 in the bank. Ron is the only signer on the account. Larry Clinton will call a meeting of Kappas residents about how to handle this.
  • The Conservation Corps North Bay has offered to partner with the FHA to host our own E-waste Collection Day on October 22.
  • The Environmental Committee will look into preparing a list of locations for recycling various items. Editor’s note: this info exists on the FHA website’s environmental page.
