We’ve written before about the historic Record Plant studio that flourished here in the 70s. A play that just closed at the Curran Theatre called Stereophonic is loosely based on one of the legends of that storied venue: the tumultuous 1977 Fleetwood Mac sessions that produced the multi-platinum album Rumours and also led to the breakup of the band’s two star couples.

Today the Record Plant, which still stands at 2200 Bridgeway, has been renamed 2002 Studios.

Recently a reporter from NBC visited the born-again hit factory, and posted a video of her tour on YouTube. The video provides some fascinating glimpses of the studio’s star-studded history, and of the inner workings of the facility today.
