Blue & Gold Fleet has temporarily suspended ferry service between San Francisco and Sausalito while PG&E undertakes environmental cleanup at the fleet’s Pier 41 base in the city. Riders traveling between San Francisco and Sausalito are encouraged to use the Golden Gate Ferry as an alternative.
Blue & Gold has not announced when ferry service is expected to resume. Look for news in the Floating Times as soon as we receive it.
During the Pier 41 closure, Blue & Gold will repower its primary Sausalito vessel, The Bay Monarch, installing clean burning Tier 4 diesel engines. In addition, new docks, gangways and piles will be installed at Pier 41, significantly improving access, resiliency and the Bay-side visitor experience.
Blue & Gold’s Bay Cruises, charter services, and RocketBoat attractions are not affected, and will continue to operate out of Pier 39.
