TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE FHA BOARD IS DOING, HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE JANUARY BOARD MEETING:
Michael Labate (A Dock) was elected President of the FHA Board for a two-year term. Taylor Ray (Liberty) was elected Vice President. From East Pier, Teddie Hathaway was elected Treasurer, and Linda Sempliner was re-elected Secretary.
Sponsors are renewing their ads in this newsletter and on the FHA website. A new ad format will be launched soon. New sponsors are invited to participate.
The first organizational meeting for the 2019 Annual Tour was held Monday, January 14. Most of the Tour Committee members are returning from 2017.
Michele Affronte and Katherine Boschetto are working on getting a chair for the Membership Committee. Membership notices have been sent out. Applications are on the FHA website, along with a packet detailing benefits the FHA provides to the floating homes community.
It was agreed that the FHA would continue to reimburse the cost of Dock activities up to $10 per berth for 2019.
An Alternate Dock Rep is needed for Yellow Ferry Harbor. Contact information for dock reps and alternates is posted on the FHA website.
Dock rosters are being updated. If your contact information has changed, please inform your Dock Rep.
The Board is looking into repairing the wheels on existing dock carts or replacing carts if necessary.
Teddie Hathaway purchased a sign to slow down traffic on Gate 6 Road. Peter Hudson and Michael Labate will help install it.
The next Board Meeting will be Tuesday, February 12, 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Marin City Public Safety Building.
