The Working Waterfront Celebration last Saturday brought together the maritime community, showcasing their innovations, creations, and art to highlight the maritime industry’s contributions to the community and the environment.
The event, held outside the Bay Model, welcomed a steady stream of visitors who enjoyed live music, fresh fish tacos, soft drinks, and information booths on local innovations and technology. Booths featured everything from artisan pottery to a high tech drone.
A raffle for tickets to a sunset sail on the schooner Freda B added to the excitement and community engagement.
One particular highlight was the appearance of a San Francisco fire boat, with hoses blasting. A second was the debut of the new Sausalito history Book Moments in Time, at a table from Waterfront Wonders on Caledonia Street where the coffee table book may be purchased.
