Kids, Dogs, Art, Munchies, Magic, Music and Politicians—who could ask for more? Probably none of the folks who joined the FHA’s Day in the Park on Sunday, June 4.
Under blue skies and bracing bay breezes, people gathered from all over the community to enjoy Davey Jones’ paella, music by local performers, a bake-off and bake sale, art and publications offered by local creative types, a doggy costume contest, informational booths, a fire extinguisher recharge station, and more. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this event possible.
For the first time, we were joined by District 3 Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters and Assemblymember Damon Connolly, who gave brief legislative updates, including their mutual support for floating home rent control and their commitment to maintaining AB252.
Next week we’ll have a longer report and slide show on all the elements that made Day in the Park so special.
