Tamara Peters, executive director of Resilient Neighborhoods, will give an audio-visual presentation, about her organization, at the beginning of the May 14 FHA Board Meeting.

Resilient Neighborhoods offers free workshops to empower people to take action on climate change, lower their bills, strengthen their communities and prepare for emergencies. Last spring, the locally-based organization received a Charles F. McGlashan Advocacy Award from Marin Clean Energy.

FHA emergency services chair Flo Hoylman invites all dock reps, alternates, and interested individuals from the floating homes community to attend the half-hour presentation. The FHA Board meets at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Public Safety Building, 850 Drake Ave., Marin City.

Flo plans to hold Resilient Community workshops for floating homes residents. Check back for further details in the Floating Times.
