If you happen to be in France in October, look for the French edition of the National Geographic, with a cover story on San Francisco. The magazine sent a reporter (Thibault Petit) and photographer (Cyril Marcilhacy ) here in early August, and part of their assignment was to explore our community.
The journalists asked to speak to a newcomer to the docks and Issaquah Dock Rep Sandy Harford was able to answer questions, such as what attracted her to the waterfront. Her response: “My husband and I had been house-hunting in Marin and everything was so boring.” Until they discovered our community.
