The day after the Floating Times announced the production of Qaddafi’s Cook, a play by Lance Belville, the Marin IJ ran a major feature on the production. The article tells the story of a chance encounter between the late Lance of West Pier, and a young hotelier in Todos Santos who had served as one of several international chefs for the household of Muammar Qaddafi, the dictator who ruled Libya until his assassination in 2011.

Thanks to growing interest in the immersive production, an added performance is planned for Sunday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Joe Goode Annex, 401 Alabama St., San Francisco. Tickets may be ordered online and Lance’s widow, Lynn Lohr, is offering a $5 discount code for Floating Times readers: 20SF23.
