The Estuary & Ocean Science Center (EOS), located at SF State’s Romberg Tiburon Campus, is hosting a day of discovery on Sunday, October 13. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Attendees will experience science in action at the only marine lab on San Francisco Bay. This is a chance to meet San Francisco Bay critters at EOS’ touch tanks and exhibits, chat with local marine scientists, listen to the sounds of CA coastal whales and dolphins and to see how EOS partners with nature to reduce climate change impacts. You can even grab a bite at the food truck or the Hog Island oyster bar.

Admission and parking at the Open House are free, but reservations are required.

EOS connects science, society and the sea through interdisciplinary research, education and outreach programs, sustaining healthy and resilient coastal ecosystems for future generations. The Center is committed to engaging people in learning how the ocean and estuary affect our lives and the environment we live in today, how we can solve environmental problems now, and what may change in the future depending on what we choose to do today.

In addition to the Open House, EOS offers programs free or for a modest cost thanks to grants and the generosity of private foundations, corporations, businesses and individuals. Join their email list to receive notifications about upcoming events and programs.
