King tides will arrive starting Sunday morning, with a 7-foot whopper on Tuesday, Dec. 13. Extra-high tides will continue through Friday, Dec. 16.
Cars often get totaled when flooded with salt water, so avoid parking along the water’s edge for at least an hour before and after these high tides. Floods may be even higher in the event of rain, low pressure fronts or unfavorable wind conditions.
Be sure your visitors are aware of these high tides.
