Our highest tides occur around the summer and winter solstices. During the week of June 19, tides will be highest in the evenings, peaking later every night through Sunday, as shown below:
Heavy storms can add a foot of water to these predicted tides. Right now, no rain is forecast for that week, but it’s a good idea to check for changing forecasts.
Flooded parking lots can total cars and also damage the wheels on shopping carts, so be prepared to move both cars and carts if high tides coincide with rain.
