The Bay Model is planning a show of floating home artists from February 13 to April 3 next year, hopefully timed to coincide with the FHA’s annual meeting, depending on COVID restrictions in effect at that time.
Curator Dan Cassidy points out that entry is free and 100% of any sale goes straight to the artists. Although artwork isn’t due to be submitted until February 13, Dan would like to encourage local artists to begin thinking about works they might plan to submit.
The show is open to any artist currently living on a floating home. The Bay Model will accept two–dimensional works less than 48” wide that can be hung on the wall. Since the Bay Model is a government facility, there are some restrictions on what can be shown there: no adult themes, nudity, or politics. All artworks must be ready to hang, framed and wired, with no wet paint.
