Peter Miller (Main Dock) was elected President of the FHA Board. Other officers elected were Alex Shoer, Vice President and Karen Tischler, Secretary. Linda Futrell will stay on as Treasurer.
Linda reported that as of December 31, 2024 total FHA income was $61,457 — 93% of projected budget. Total expenses were $66,160 — approximately 10% less than budget. The shortfall in income resulted in $4,703.00 loss for the year subject to adjustments for outstanding items. Cash on hand at year end came to $21,304.12.
The Board approved a 2025 budget.
New events chair BettyAnn Kram is planning for an FHA annual meeting in March.
The Board seeks a new chair of the Private Tour Committee since the resignation of Teddie Hathaway.
Legislative Action Committee chair Sasha Cole reported that the LAC reached an agreement with Waldo Point Harbor on an amendment to the Floating Home Residency Law. However other marinas have raised their own concerns about some of the details. So discussions continue.
Past President Pete Hudson will continue to oversee the maintenance of the FHA member database on our new website platform: Memberplanet. Pete reported that of 281 active members, 118 have joined the Member Planet platform, while 63 have not joined. Pete is reaching out to the dock reps to get those members to join the platform as well as the FHA.
