—The BayWAVE Project: Supervisor Kate Sears on Sea Level Rise from Sausalito to Novato—
Marin is at risk, today and in the future. We need to plan, coordinate, and act to prepare for rising tides. Much of our infrastructure, transportation, utilities, our wetlands and our community lies within vulnerable shoreline. Join us to hear Supervisor Kate Sears discuss the BayWAVE project, a Sea Level Rise assessment directed by the County of Marin.
Supervisor Sears will share BayWAVE’s evaluation of Marin’s vulnerability, and identify the next steps. The goal of the BayWAVE project is to increase awareness and preparation for future Sea Level Rise by using this coordinated, multi-jurisdictional assessment. Visit www.MarinSLR.org for more information.
Marin County Supevisor Kate Sears is Southern Marin’s elected representative. One of her key initiatives is planning for Sea Level Rise and climate change in Marin.
