
HERE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AT THE MARCH 10 BOARD MEETING. MORE DETAILS WILL BE REPORTED LATER IN THE FLOATING TIMES.
- Treasurer Cathryn Flynn reported that February income totaled $9,024 which included $6,164 from the Annual Meeting, $2,000 in donations, and $860 in membership dues. Expenses were $2,345, leaving a net profit of $6,679. Cash on hand at month end came to $9,617. There are still a few outstanding Annual Meeting expenses. An Annual Meeting Profit & Loss Summary will be presented at the April Board meeting.
- Events Chair BettyAnn Kram summarized the Annual Meeting at the Bay Model last month. The breakfast buffet format, silent auction, and Bay Cities Refuse presentation were highlights. The Membership Table accepted one new membership, 4 renewals, and 11 requests to update memberships.
- BettyAnn is meeting with Waldo Point Harbor staff to firm up a date for Day in the Park in May and to discuss event plans. This year the Board will focus on making DITP a more community-driven BYO picnic event featuring community artists, musicians, and speakers. Further information will be communicated in the Floating Times, dock notices, emails, and through a volunteer signup website.
- Private Tour Chair Lewis Shireman has secured a tentative commitment for 7 cruise ship day tours in 2026: 3 in May and one each in June, July, August and September. Lewis is seeking homes and tour guides. If you’d like to open your home or help with one or more tours, please contact Lewis.
- Past President Pete Hudson is planning to clean up and inventory the contents of the Disaster Response trailer on Gate 6 Road and the FHA storage locker in San Rafael next month and will reach out to Board members for help when dates are firmed up.
- The FHA Board will continue to meet monthly, in person and via Zoom, the first Tuesday evening of each month. Dock Reps will receive agendas and meeting materials in advance.
