Last Friday, about a dozen members of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors toured all three docks in Kappas Marina, ending up with a wine down aboard the Fairy Tale on West Pier, hosted by Julie Durbin and Ed Lopez.
The tour grew out of interest expressed by Daryl Niemerow, President and CEO of the Chamber, who reported that many Chamber members get inquiries about how to see the floating homes. Friday’s gathering gave these folks a chance to see the type of private tours being offered by the FHA, and to get to know our community a little better.
Also joining the tour were Sausalito councilmembers Ian Sobieski and Steven Woodside, along with Mimi Towle and Karen Fraser of Marin Magazine.
Julie arranged to have some of the group transported from downtown to Kappas by The Tour Store, which offers local tours, bike rentals, and museum tickets and also staffs the information kiosk near the Sausalito Ferry Terminal.
