In February of 2024, the Floating Homes Association (FHA) updated its membership system. These changes affect how members and guests will attend the March 15 Annual Meeting. Many long-time members recall being admitted to the Annual Meeting with one guest free of charge. That is no longer the case.
What’s New?
- FHA members still attend the Annual Meeting for free.
- Guests must pay a $15 entry fee unless covered under a Household Membership.
- If you have a Household Annual or 3-Year Household Membership, your guests can enter for free.
Not Sure About Your Membership?
Check Your Member Card. (Memberships cards were emailed to all members on February 22)
Otherwise, Email Pete Hudson before March 14 with:
- Subject Line: What is My FHA Membership Status?
- Body of Email: Your full name, dock, and berth number.
Want to Avoid the $15 Guest Fee?
You have two options:
- Your Guest Can Become an FHA Member.
-
- An Individual Annual Membership costs $45 and provides full FHA benefits.
- Visit the FHA website and click “Become a Member Today” (under the three doors).
- Upgrade to a Household Membership.
-
- A Household Annual Membership costs $70 and covers all members of your household.
- Even your pets!
How to Upgrade to a Household Membership
Follow these steps:
- On the website click Member Log-In (upper right-hand corner).
- On your Profile Page, select Membership Portal from the top menu.
- You’ll be redirected to MemberPlanet (FHA’s membership platform).
- Log in using the same credentials as the FHA website.
- On your Profile Page, click “Renew” or “Renew Early” (top right, below the blue and green circles).
- On the next page, find the section titled “Schedule” and click “Cancel My Member Level”.
-
- Important: This does not cancel your membership!
- A confirmation window will appear. Click “Cancel Member Level”.
- A list of membership levels will appear. Scroll to Household [Annual] and click “Choose”.
-
- Pro Tip: Do not select the 3-Year Membership as FHA may discontinue this option after 2025.
- Enter your payment details and confirm your new membership.
- Print out a new Household Membership card and bring it to the meeting.
Note: If you upgrade from a 3-Year Membership to a Household [Annual] Membership, we are unable to make refunds, however, contact Pete Hudson and we can adjust your membership to an appropriate expiration date.
See You at the 2025 FHA Annual Meeting!
