After sheltering in place for 15 months, Sausalito is coming back to life, one social event at a time. Here are some to look forward to:
Jazz and Blues by the Bay Returns
The City of Sausalito Park and Recreation Department is once again presenting Jazz and Blues by the Bay on the waterfront in Gabrielson Park. Our own Joe Tate and his Blue Monday Band kicked off the shortened season on July 2, with free lawn seating for all.
The lineup for the rest of the season is:
7/9/21 West Coast Cool
7/16/21 Andre Theirry
7/23/21 Jeconte & the Salty Dawgs
7/30/21 Dirty Cello
8/6/21 Big Harp George
8/13/21 Daniel Castro
8/20/21 Pamela Rose
8/27/21 Eugene Huggins & Friends
In addition to lawn seating, tables for six will be available for rent starting on July 9. They may be reserved by the season or for individual performances.
New Visitor Center Downtown
The Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of its new office and visitor center from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20. All are welcome to attend this free event. The visitor center is located next to the ferry plaza at 22 El Portal.
The new location is currently open Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and features unique merchandise from Sausalito businesses and artists.
