Spaulding Marine Center is offering a unique opportunity to enjoy a Friday night waterfront concert from the comfort of the launch Dixie. The Dixie will take up to six passengers to the water off Gabrielson Park to enjoy a Friday evening Jazz & Blues by the Bay performance.
Tickets are $120 per person and passengers are encouraged to reserve spots in sets of 2.
Featuring planked white pine on oak frames, Dixie was modeled after a New England lobster boat. She was built for local sailor Hugh Harris, who added the roof and cabin structure. Mr. Harris donated her to Spaulding Marine Center in August of 2011.
The Jazz and Blues concert series runs each Friday through September 13 (that final cruise is already sold out).
