The three largest Sausalito floating home marinas have recommended that their residents vote in favor of the legislative arrangements they previously agreed to with the FHA’s Legislative Action Committee.
In a recent email, Becky Smith from Waldo Point Harbor wrote: “We hope you will support these revisions as they are a collectively agreed-upon solution beneficial to both homeowners and marinas.”
Ken Watsey of Kappas Marina noted: “Given that the political operators responsible for advancing the legislation are requiring a consensus of agreement among all interested parties before moving it forward, your voting for the proposal via the online poll you should have received is critically important.”
And Chris Tellus of Yellow Ferry Harbor added: “Importantly we feel this revision to current legislation will restore peace and harmony to our wonderful and beautiful community.”
The LAC recently sent a survey link to all the homeowners and residents in the FHA’s database, over 600 addresses in all. As of Sunday, a little over half had responded.
On Sunday, the FHA sent a reminder to those who have not yet voted and is sending out additional reminders on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wednesday is the Last Day to Vote
The FHA rent control survey is open to ALL Sausalito Floating Home residents and homeowners. If any of the below describes someone you know who has not received a link to the survey, please have your dock rep provide them a printed ballot or send them a link via email.
Every voice in our floating homes community matters! This is not 1-vote, 1-boat. Input is welcome from all adult residents and owners, including:
– spouses
– roommates
– tenants/renters
– adult (+18 y.o.) children living at home
– owners of floating homes who are not currently living on the dock
