There’s plenty going on in and around Sausalito this month. Here is a sampling of events. We’ve reported on some of these before, but links in the listings will lead you to the most up-to-date information.

Sausalito Books by the Bay  presents book readings on October 10, 12, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26, 28 and 29

Fleet Week returns to the Bay Area on Friday, October 6, through Sunday, October 8

Sausalito Center for the Arts will host a closing reception for Finding the Form: Bay Area Sculpture from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8

Sausalito Boat Show celebrates maritime excellence October 13-15

Solar Eclipse. A partial solar eclipse will be visible in the Bay Area beginning at 8:05 a.m. and ending at 10:42 a.m. on Saturday, October 14

Charles Van Damme ferry will be celebrated Sunday, October 15 at Waldo Point Park from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Marin City History. Felecia Gaston will discuss her new history of Marin City at a special program presented by Sausalito Village in the Edgewater Room at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16

A Toast to Sausalito will take over Caledonia Street from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21

Sausalito Sister Cities will host a fundraiser dinner and dance at the Sausalito Yacht Club from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21

Sustainable Marin will host the second annual virtual Marin County Green Home Tour at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26

And last, but by no means least:

Day in the Park, a free festival for the floating homes community, takes place in Waldo Point Park on October 29
