We’re riding the wave of the 41st Annual California Coastal Cleanup and doing our part right here at home. Marin has 60+ cleanup sites, and our freshly formed Floating Homes Litter Pick-Up Squad is heading out this Saturday, Sept 27—just before the high tides sweep in next week.
We’ll meet at Waldo Point Park near the main community dock at 10:30 a.m. until around noon. We will kick things off with a little socializing and coffee before grabbing bags and hitting the shoreline (feel free to bring snacks to share).
Last time out, we hauled in 30+ pounds of trash. Not bad for a morning stroll. Big thanks to our inaugural crew: Rebecca Auster, Peter Miller, Sabrina Antonio, Emma Pieper, Tam Morgan, and Jay Lalezari.
All neighbors welcome. Family-friendly, good vibes encouraged. Bring gloves if you have them; we’ll have bags and a few extra grabbers to share. Closed-toe shoes recommended. RSVP online or email Rebecca.
Let’s leave the shoreline cleaner than we found it. Trash doesn’t stand a chance.
