
Linda Futrell, who has served as FHA treasurer since 2023, even after moving off Gate 6 ½, has decided to resign from the position. Now the FHA is looking for a volunteer from the community to fill this vital part time role.
The FHA treasurer’s duties include:
- Keeping the books and maintaining financial records of the Association using QuickBooks Online
- Preparing monthly financial reports and cash flow projections for presentation at each board meeting and at the Annual membership meeting
- Drafting an annual budget for approval by the FHA board
- Paying recurring expenses, such as insurance premiums, fees from vendors, and taxes
- Managing the Association’s bank account (making deposits, disbursing payments and reconciliation)
- Managing payment systems, such as the Association’s debit card, PayPal, Square etc.
- Participating in Board discussions of financial matters
- Monitoring treasurer emails
- Checking FHA mail at Travelers Mailbag
- Invoicing advertisers, sponsors, etc.
- Preparing and filing tax returns and annual non-profit reports
Past treasurer Tracy Corbin has agreed to step in until the position is filled. She and Linda are both available to help onboard a new treasurer.
