FHA Seeks Volunteer Treasurer

Linda Futrell, who has served as FHA treasurer since 2023, even after moving off Gate 6 ½, has decided to resign from the position. Now the FHA is looking for a volunteer from the community to fill this vital part time role.

The FHA treasurer’s duties include:

  • Keeping the books and maintaining financial records of the Association using QuickBooks Online
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and cash flow projections for presentation at each board meeting and at the Annual membership meeting
  • Drafting an annual budget for approval by the FHA board
  • Paying recurring expenses, such as insurance premiums, fees from vendors, and taxes
  • Managing the Association’s bank account (making deposits, disbursing payments and reconciliation)
  • Managing payment systems, such as the Association’s debit card, PayPal, Square etc.
  • Participating in Board discussions of financial matters
  • Monitoring treasurer emails
  • Checking FHA mail at Travelers Mailbag
  • Invoicing advertisers, sponsors, etc.
  • Preparing and filing tax returns and annual non-profit reports

Past treasurer Tracy Corbin has agreed to step in until the position is filled. She and Linda are both available to help onboard a new treasurer.
