After their rental year came to an end and they had to move off the dock, East Pierians Maddie O’Meara and Alex Loddengaard (along with young son Aiden) returned last Friday for the dedication ceremony for their departing gift . . . a potted mandarin tree to grace the community space at the end of the dock where they had become fast friends with their neighbors at the regular Friday evening wine downs. Teddie Hathaway created a glass plaque to denote the contribution which Aiden unveiled by pulling away its wrapping paper. The family has become part of the East Pier community and they promise to return frequently.
