Tech Lab Opens in Marin City

A new maker space called The Lab opened last week at 101 Donohoe St. in Marin City, on the campus of Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Open to all ages, and free to use for everyone, The Lab is a maker space, creator space, hacker space, coding space, gaming space, idea space, and more. It offers free access to resources and technology for all library patrons. The Lab is most suited to ages 8 and up, depending on the equipment. Patrons will receive training in order to use the equipment.

  • 2 VR Meta Quest 3 Headsets
  • Cricut Maker 3
  • CNC Router
  • DSLR Photo/Video Camera
  • 4K Drone
  • XBOX Console
  • 2 Nintendo Switches
  • Desktop 3D Scanner
  • iReal Handheld 3D Scanner
  • Adobe Production Software
  • Autodesk Software Design Suite
  • VHS to Digital Conversion Equipment

Drop-in hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
