Sausalito Currents has reported that the project to improve safety for cyclists, cars, and pedestrians at the intersection of Gate 6 Road and Bridgeway is nearing completion. According to the project manager, all lane barriers were removed Tuesday morning. No further traffic delays are anticipated.
The City of Sausalito expects to activate the new bike crossing and video detection systems in coordination with Caltrans to complete the project by September 15. From then on, ‘No Right Turn’ signs will activate when the bike signal and pedestrian crossing on Bridgeway are green. Right turns on red will otherwise be permitted.
