1. Urgent Fundraising Campaign: A Call to Action
For 40 years, the Floating Homes Association has supported and connected the Sausalito floating home community. But now, more than ever, your HOA needs your help.
In honor of our 40th anniversary, we have established a fundraising goal of $40,000, and we’re still short of meeting that goal.
We still need your support, and every contribution is most welcome to help support our services, and to provide valuable services and benefits to our special community.

2. Help Wanted: FHA Treasurer Needed
The FHA needs a volunteer from the community to serve as our Treasurer. We can offer onboarding support to someone who’s willing to step up and help out.
The FHA treasurer’s duties include:
- Keeping the books and maintaining financial records of the Association using QuickBooks Online.
- Preparing monthly financial reports and cash flow projections for presentation at each board meeting and at the Annual membership meeting.
- Drafting an annual budget for approval by the FHA board.
- Paying recurring expenses, such as insurance premiums, fees from vendors, and taxes.
- Managing the Association’s bank account (making deposits, disbursing payments, and reconciliation).
- Managing payment systems, such as the Association’s debit card, PayPal, Square, etc.
- Participating in Board discussions concerning financial matters.
- Monitoring Treasurer emails.
- Checking FHA mail at Travelers Mailbag.
- Invoicing advertisers, sponsors, etc.
- Preparing and filing tax returns and annual non-profit reports.
